Super easy to assemble. 12 screws with washers, screw them in, that's it. It looks great. My only little complaint is that I have it on a tile floor and it slides easily. My old one was huge and heavy. This new one has a differnt lift motion that I was used to. It has a reaaly nice slow motion lowering, but I do have to work a little harder to get it up. As a new table, it needs to be broken in. I need to learn how it wants to be liftedI may need to scuff up the sliders on the bottom of the legs or add something sticky.Wow!!! I just read my review and relized how it sounds. But it's true. I would definatly buy this lift up table again.

It was easy to put together, but i expected more for what I paid. There is a gash on the top along the side that looks like happened during production, and the edge of the side has an unfinished edge which makes me think it’ll start to chip in a matter of months. Had i noticed these things before putting it together i would have returned it, but it would be too difficult at this point to break it down just to return it.

My wife and I went to a local discount furniture store, that we'd bought stuff from before. Saw a similar table that they anted $700+ for. We were a bit skeptical about the quality, but it was the right color and needed it for the holidays. Asked them to match a price from another store (but different color we couldn't use) for $100 less. After a resounding "no" my wife went on Amazon and found this. I'll be honest. I was not optimistic that this table would be all that great but we needed it. Was truly surprised when we got it and found that it was sturdier that the $700+ table and looked like better quality materials. 15 minutes to assemble and we were ready to go, but about $350 richer.

Very sturdy! Easy to put together, and a joy to have in the living room. Honestly? It stands out. The fuax wood does scratched, but not very easily. I'd still get some touch up paint though. Otherwise. Have 2 people when building. Not a one person job.

I previously had another older Lift Top coffee table that I had used for many years. I finally decided to donate it when I wanted to redo my family room in a different color scheme. For a while I tried to see if I could go back to the traditional coffee table, then realized how much I had gotten used to having the Lift Top coffee table! I found this Christopher Knight Lift Top coffee table to be the perfect addition to my new family room. It looks beautiful and is so practical because you can lift the top and use it lifted for so many different things. I'm really happy I got this piece a furniture!

Assembly is pretty easy if you get al your parts. This is supposed to ship with an extra part for each of the hardware pieces. Mine was missing 2 bolts leaving me with 1 short to complete assembly. My under shelf is relying on 3 rather than 4 bolts. Not the end of the world but requires a trip to Home Depot.Other than that, this table is pretty great for the price. The slow closing of the top is great and it seems to be of high quality.

I absolutely love this coffee table. It comes mostly assembled, all you have to do is install the legs and the bottom shelf, which I did by myself in 40 minutes, excellent instructions come with it. It is so sturdy, expensive looking, totally matches my media center (different brand) and it was packaged so well, not a single blemish. To add to my delight I received it days earlier than expected. The top lifts pretty high so if you have a low couch you might need an extra pillow to sit on to eat dinner or spend time on your laptop. It just so happens I ordered a new 6" high density seat cushion for my couch the same time I ordered this piece - I'm so glad I did. When I replace the old couch cushion tomorrow I'm going to have the perfect set up. I highly recommend this lift top coffee table and this seller, don't hesitate to buy it!

I just redid my whole living room to brighten up the space, and knew I wanted to add a lift top table. I went with white furniture throughout, and this table (white with wood grain top) was the perfect piece to center the room. The table was tough to build only because it’s fairly heavy, so you have to flip it upside down and right side up a couple times. The holes were all screwed properly so the provided hardware was easy to install. It took some elbow grease screwing in the final hardware with the Allen wrench, but it felt like this is just because it’s a sturdy piece of furniture that isn’t going to fall apart overnight or even in a few years. The lift top is easy to raise and lower, and has a slow close mechanism which is awesome to avoid pinched fingers and spilled soup! The finish on the table is nice and looks more expensive than what I paid. I highly recommend this piece!
