Almost eliminated noise from my ladder rack
This is worth the investment even though it doesn't look like much for the price. My truck with a ladder rack over the cab is only an inch away from the roof top, and made so much noise after 50 MPH I considered ear plugs. It was like being in an airplane taking off. This device almost completely eliminated it. Tilting it down so the upper surface is a 45 degrees to the horizontal puts it very close to my roof, which will probably mar the paint over time when the front of the rack is loaded, but that is how it should be installed and the trade off is OK with me.

This wind deflector made my ladder rack quiet.
I bought an inexpensive ladder rack at Harbor Freight. It was well made and I installed it on my new truck. I put a ladder on it and went off to visit a customer. There was a little wind noise blowing through the ladder, but it wasn't unreasonable. Then I took the ladder off and drove into town. At 40 MPH the noise started to be annoying. At 50 it was a loud hum. At 55I couldn't hear the radio.I looked into the HF comments and found someone else who had the same problem. He described how he made a wind deflector that was similar to the one that Kargo Master sold. I looked at the Kargo Master ladder rack and found it to be a very similar design to the one I had so I ordered this one on Amazon. When it arrived, I found it was very sturdy and appeared to be of good quality. When I installed it on the truck, it helped a little. Then I started adjusting the angle a little at a time. I found a position that caused all of the noise to go away! It was a surprising angle (probably about 45° down tilt). My new truck is now as quiet as it was before I started. If I had it to do over again, I think I would have gone with Kargo Master all the way.

Solved my wind noise problem completely
This worked well and solved my wind noise problem completely. The blade is very sturdy. Make sure to take your front rack bar off to install this and install it in the center of your front rack bar. Otherwise you won’t be able to reach the screw heads through the provided holes in the blade. The holes should be pointed down towards the roof, so as not to collect rainwater. This seems simple, but others have complained that they couldn’t tighten the screws without a super short screwdriver. Just take the bar off to avoid this problem. Then put the bar back on when done. Secondly, make sure that the blade is at about a 45° angle when installed. If you experience some wind noise after install, just adjust the angle of the blade either higher or lower until you find a sweet spot. I was able to illuminate all of the wind noise created by my roof rack. It quieted the noise over my soft top by a great deal. I did reduced my rating by one star because of the cost , which is outrageous for what it is but in the end it worked.

Angle the deflector at least 45 degrees downward
After putting the Harbor Freight haul master 800# limit on my '19 f150 xlt, 6.5 box super crew the wind noise was unbearable and depending on the road started at as low of speed as 35 mph. Once on the highway over 50 the noise was incredibly loud in a very tight, quiet truck cab, very much like a heavy bass sound from adjacent car. This wind deflector went on in about 5 minutes and I hit the angle right after reading reviews to make sure and point things downward - first cruise out up to 75 with nothing on the rack except new deflector and the noise is gone. Don't feel bad about $55 for a piece of metal to keep things nice and quiet!

Works very well for noise, a little rough in looks dept.
Hey! Guys - this little length of tin works and works well. May not be true for every truck/rack but took the noise level in the crew cab of my Nissan pickup from pretty unbelievable loud to a background random noise that disappeared once you covered 5 miles, at any speed. For me, the point of the 'vee' is nearly straight down toward the cab. Took a little adjusting to get the best result. Looks a little odd that way but, hey. The silver screw 'plumbing type' clamps to attach it stand out against the black and took a moment to figure out that the tail of the band had to go back through the hole it came out of.

Doesn’t work
Even tried varying the angle which is not so simple and requires climbing up and using a screw driver on all three cheap hose clamps many times and didn’t eliminate noise at any angle.

Item arrived on time, but was missing 2 out of the 3 O-rings or fasteners (hardware)

15 Silverado, HF truck rack. It works gents! ZERO NOISE
Easy install. No instructions needed. Installed in less than 10min. Make sure to angle it to match your shark fin antenna or windshield for proper aerodynamics. Rack is silent with and without any ladders. Don't know if hose clamps are stainless, but if they rust, it'll be easy to swap them out. Installed on 2015 silverado harbor freight steel black tube large rack.
