Fantastic product but ugly lime base knocks down 1/2 star from 5 stars.
I wanted to give it 4 1/2 starts but gave it 5 since no half stars. The product is great but that lime green color is ugly. They need to switch to neutral white or just stick to the blue and pink like the colors of the nozzle and the extensions. LOVE the water filled base. It is very sturdy and not to heavy to pickup and move from room to room. My Shih Tzu puppy was used to using a water bottle in her crate and started using this one as soon as I sat it down. When I used bowls, she would pick the bowl up and carry it around and spill water everywhere. Also, she would move the bowels and I was always tripping on them. This is heavy enough that she has not moved it at all even when she drinks fast when she gets thirsty after playing. Not sure about clean up but the mouth is wide enough that you can get a wooden spoon and a napkin in there to wipe any mildew that might accumulate. Also, I like the fact the bottle is smaller because mildew is a bigger problem in the bottle with my crate since it can take my 8 pound dog up to four days to make big dent in the water in the bottle and you have to fill these bottles up to the top to make them work properly. Also, since I have a dog that can get tear stains, I have to put purified water in her bottle and if she is only drinking half a bottle before I have to pour it out to fill it up with fresh water then I am wasting almost half the purified water I am buying for her.

Good concept but doesn't work
I have a mini schnauzer and he just couldn't get enough water out of it. He was constantly trying to get water out of the toilet and other places because he was so thirsty. Complete waste of money

but it really is unnecessary.
My cats don't drink from it, but it has stopped our cat peeing in the water dish..not really sure why she feels the need to do this. We just fill up the bowl under the bottle. There isn't enough head room for her to get on top of the bowl to pee. She is also seeing a counselor so maybe we will be able to move to a normal bowl in the future if all goes well with that. I also think the top could be less boob shaped it just looks strange. We have put it in a shelf so we don't have to look at that part, but it really is unnecessary.

Shih Tzu Puppy Success!
I have two 4 month old Shih Tzus. They used a bottle with the breeder, but when they came to us we switched them to bowls. What a disaster! They were always soaking wet and there were puddles and rivers all over the floor. We wanted to switch them back to the bottle. We bought one of these and the girls took to it right away! They love it and actually fight over who gets to drink first! We ended up purchasing 2 more so we have them strategically placed throughout the house. These are very sturdy, I have had no problem with dripping, and even if it does drip a little there is the bowl to catch it. Would highly recommend this product. The only question I am waiting to hear on is if the bottles are dishwasher safe.

Wonderful Product
This is an awesome product! Very happy with my purchase, and so is my puppy. It was packaged nicely, and very easy to put together, took all of 5 minutes, and it was ready to go. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while, and finally found it. It does not drip, and my puppy took to it right away. All I did was put her up to the tip and she started licking away to get water. It had a few drips that landed in the little bowl, and she licked those up too. I love that it's adjustable, as right now I only need it on the lowest setting. It is very sturdy, easy to clean, and looks great. Would definitely recommend this product!

I do like the weighted base
I do like the weighted base, which keeps it pretty stable while my 20-lb dog drinks. However, the flow rate is quite inadequate for any animal larger than a marsupial (think hamster) or pet that needs very little water during the day. So I drilled a small (1/8") hole in the top of the dispenser. This allows back-pressure via air outside the dispenser, resulting in an adequate water flow when my dog goes to get a drink. But the other problem is, I find that the dispenser tip drips, eventually filling the catch basin and requiring me to refill the container more often than would be otherwise necessary. Wish I hadn't bought it. Now need to look for something else. If you're providing water to a low-water-needs animal (cat, hamster, etc.) then this probably is ok. Any other animal, no.

THIS IS A JUNK
DON'T BUY THIS JUNK!!!!!!I have 7 cats and 3 dogs and none of them are drinking this. My dogs had this kind of bottle before and they are not drinking this bottle. I have persian cats so I wanted my cats use this but none of them are drinking this. I read all the reviews and I think they gave good reviews because they got as discounted price. My cats really tried hard but couldn't use this. I felt so bad. Please don't buy this crap

Very pleased with this product for the price!
Our breeder used water bottles in the welping pens and recommended that as a safe and clean way for the puppy to get water. We wanted a free-standing waterer so when our puppy graduated from the pen he could still use it. He uses it quite easily. There is a molded bowl under the bottle and when a little water misses his mouth, he quickly licks it up! He loves his water and even goes and puts his paws up on the pen to get back in for a drink when we have him outside it to play. No spilled water--ever!We were a bit concerned, thinking it might be easily spilled because it was plastic. But, the bowl has under it a tank you fill with water which keeps it weighted and makes it very sturdy. Only one problem I can think of is that we can't seem to find any replacement bottles. I guess we'll solve that problem when we get there. Love it that it will grow with our pup since we can make it higher.
