May be better than my Suizan
I've been using Japanese style saws for about a month now. I have some health issues, and someone recommended I try a Japanese style saw because they require less force. Took some time to get used to it, but there are some excellent tutorials available. I needed a folding one, and the Suizan went up in price, figured I would give this one a try. The blade is thinner, which is an advantage in this style of saw, it's not about force, it's about the sharpness of the teeth. If your blade is binding, wax it, or work on your technique, force shouldn't be a part of it.This one is a dream out of the box. Normally I would clean the blade, hit it with a rag with fine metal polish, then wax it before use. This one I decided to try out of the box, especially because the amateur packaging and lack of manufacturer markings on the handle made me suspicious, and I didn't want to invest too much time into it if it was going back anyway. Four cross cuts and rips on red oak, four of hard maple, and about a dozen of each on pine, and I decided that it was time to tune it. Amazing deal for the price ($22 as of this review). I ended up buying three more (camping bag, car, and gift). Hopefully the pivot will hold up, but it looks well engineered.I took off a star for easy of use only because these saws require practice, not because I was having issues.

Good small foldable and flexible saw for quick or finishing cuts
The saw is the right size for quick small cuts. It has two sides with coarse and fine cutting teeths, respectively. Pretty sharp. I needed only a few slides on the wood to make a shallow slot to hook up a string using the fine side. Using the coarse side, I finish the final cuts at the bottom on a 2x4 wood stud that was mostly cut to a 90 degree angle with a circular saw on top. It was quick work. Using the fine side I was able to smooth out the final cut as well. The saw rotates back into the handle for storage. Keep the protective blade shield that comes with the saw so when you have it folded you can put that back on and easily hold the saw.It would be great if the saw had a hole on the handle for attaching a string or hook to it so that I can hang it on the wall. Not a big deal because I can drill one myself.

Stay tuned for updates..... Updated Review
Updated Review: Saw is terrible!. It tears the wood more than it cuts it.. If you want straight clean cuts, this is not the saw to use.. Hard to maintain a straight line. tears out the wood more than it cuts it. and blade is so thin it's almost hard to control. I've even tried doing a kerf with my thumb guiding it for at least a semi deep cut then going free hand and nope... Saw wonders.. Not happy with it at allI just received this saw. 15min ago, and already I'm skeptical about this locking mechanism they have.I love the idea that it folds to store easily as long as you keep the plastic blade cover, but this locking thing is a bit.... 'wonky'... It's a tight hold sure, but it's not very convincing when one side of the wire comes out when you lock it down.. Will get a pic shortly and will keep this review updated after I cut some wood. Never know. Locking mech might be a good idea in theory but trash, however, the saw may still perform over the top and just not need to be folded up..

Great little saw
Just finished a project with this little guy and it worked great. I love pull saws, I was borrowing my father-in-laws left and right so I figured I should probably get my own. I picked this one because I liked that it folds down.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED
I recently used it on a patio bench I made out of old bed head & footboards. Worked out perfectly. Very sharp for a smooth dowel cut.

Good Saw
Good saw though blade is a bit flimsy and would benefit to be a bit more rigid

Great compact “pull” saw!
Great compact hand saw! I’ve always wanted a Japanese “pull” saw, and this did not disappoint. The pulling action seems to require less effort compared to a traditional saw. Also folds up and can store in a plastic sleeve. Would recommend!

First time pull saw and I am impressed with this product.
This is the first pull saw I've bought and used but I am vry impressed with the quality of the saw. The teeth are super sharp and having a larger set for ripping and a smaller set for cross cutting really makes a difference. I've had a little bit of practice with it and even in the short time I have used it, my cuts are getting straighter and smoother. I recommned this product if you are looking for your first pull saw. Time will tell how long the teeth keep thier edge but for the price, I am very happy with the performance.

Great value for money
Wish I'd bought one before now. Easy to use and very good results. I like that it has 2 grades of saw, one rithef side of the very flexible blade. I'm not keen on the catch to secure the folding blade, it is quite flimsy so I will replace it or make it z fixed blade at some stage. Length of blade is good, would not want anything shorter. All in all a good tool and good value for money for a DIY tool.

Nice saw
Nice saw,I need to get use to the pull action but results are very good and accurate. Y only tiny gripe is that it could be another inch or two longer .Good value for the money and would recommend.

Not as good as I expected
The first cut was brilliant. The follow cut wasn't that easy. A bit disappointed
