RevellRV04974 EF-111A Raven Plastic Model kit, 1:72

Of two parts designed to make a wing one is 25mm short . Both mouldings appear whole from the moulds and fit perfectly at one end but one is 25mm short at the other. Having been building models including many scratch built for many years this is not my reading of the instructions incorrectly . This kit should not have been released from Revells factory and is totally unacceptable from a top firm in its industry

Would've been a beautiful aeroplane except for the massive gaps in pieces of the model and random small parts just falling off the sprues.(Luckily I found them).This has taken far too long to complete and I'm not even finished yet.I've had to fill gaps in the seams with superfine white Miliput, wait for it to cure and then sand them back.It must be an older mould as the larger sections, like the wings and fuselage, don't fit flush or are slightly warped.I'm rather disappointed, but I'm a model-maker, so it's all a part of the assembly and construction, some parts need sanding to make them fit.I'll get there in the end, despite having to try to colour match the paints (which look all wrong).I'm just glad to have an airbrush so the painting should take less time.I do love this often unheard of fighter/bomber and as it's the E variant it has the ECM suite.

I was looking for an old set of the F-111 Aardvark that I had assembled back in the late 80s but couldn’t find it (later did) so I decided to give this EF-111 kit a chance and I am very happy I did.Excellent kit with great fit, very detailed , swing wings, highly detailed instructions. It is a kit that requires experience as it is a bit complicated, but the end result is a charm.I would recommend for the mid/experience builder.Great kit.

全体的には組みやすい良品キットですね。パーツの歪みはかなりひどいレベルですが、プラスチックが軟らかいので歪みの修正はそんなに難しくないです（テープで固定するだけでなんとかなるレベルです）まあ、80年代にアメリカレベルが発売したキットをドイツレベルが再販した物ですから、古いキットだと思えば多少の組みにくさは許せるのでまあ良品キットの部類に入るでしょう。レイヴンはハセガワでも発売してますが、ハセガワのキットは可変後退翼が展開状態で固定されているので、主翼を後退した状態で組みたい人や可動ギミックを活かしたい人はドイツレベルのキットの方がいいと思います。
