Comparison of Several Organic Cereals
I tried a few organic cereals and here are my reviews of all of them. The cereals I chose are sweetened with fruit juice rather than refined sugar. Price wasnβt considered in the review, just taste and texture.β Food for Life, Ezekiel 4:9 Organic Sprouted Grain Cereal, Cinnamon Raisin β[2 stars dry / 3 stars with milk]Dry - smelled rancid (maybe a bad batch?), and the rancidity hits you at first, until you get the cinnamon and raisin. Itβs not sweet, just cinnamon-y.With milk - it tastes like raisin bran crumbs with a cinnamon aftertaste.β Food for Life, Ezekiel 4:9 Organic Sprouted Grain Cereal, Golden Flax β[3 stars dry / 4 stars with milk]Dry - tastes like croutons bits with a mild wheat flavor. Good for someone who likes plain cereal and just wants fiber. Can see it used as a salad topping. With milk - sort of tastes like raisin bran crumbs without the raisins.β Arrowhead Mills Spelt Flakes Organic Cereal β[5 stars dry / 4 stars with milk]Dry - best overall flavor and texture. Crispy, not hard, and mildly sweet. With milk - slightly chalky with milk, but still good.β Arrowhead Mills Amaranth Flakes Organic Cereal β[3 stars dry / 3 stars with milk]Dry - texture isn't great, very chalky with mild sweetness. With milk - very grainy and fibrous. I imagine cardboard tasting like this.β Nature's Path Organic Corn Flakes Cereal β[4 stars dry / 5 stars with milk]Dry - very hard when eaten dry, but good corn flake flavor. With milk - crispy texture that doesn't get soggy easily.

MUST READ!!! For buyers of Spelt Flakes Cereal!
The Nutrition Facts have changed! There is now more than 3 TIMES the amount of sugar than there used to be! There used to be 2 grams of sugar per serving (1 cup) and now it is 7 grams of sugar per serving! I usually have 2 full cups in my bowl, so my bowl of Spelt Flakes went from a very acceptable 4 grams of sugar to a now horrible 14 grams! To even add to the misery, there is now 4 grams of added sugar compared to no added sugar in original product. Also, they decided to add 25mg of more sodium per serving! I attached two pictures of the difference. I heard that the company who makes this cereal was sold to someone else. Another very noticeable difference with the new company, is that they changed the plastic bags that hold the cereal, which of course, are now worse too. If you gently squeeze the bag, you will hear and feel a very slow air leak in the bag. I've tried this with many bags, (I usually order in bulk). Since they are not air tight like they used to be, and should be- that means there is more of a chance of the product being less fresh. The original cereal was perfection Look at all of the great reviews on here. There are 90% positive reviews for the original! I'm sure like many others on here, It took me forever to search for a healthy, organic, low sugar cereal that actually tasted acceptable. It was even better than acceptable, I loved the taste! It is just mind boggling to me that a new company would come in, and change something for the worse that was already perfect! Maybe they were trying to justify price increases by adding sugar and sodium! I am on a very low sugar diet, so I will no longer be buying this product anymore which is sad. I'm sure there are some diabetics who enjoyed this cereal too who will no longer be buying it. If I wanted more sugar added I would have bought the one of 1000 other sugary cereals out there. Also, someone could have always just added sugar themselves if they really thought it was too low for them. Horrible decision making.

Yummy to my Tummy
I love this cereal and it does not sky rocket my glucose while I am pregnant. So happy to have found it. It reminds me of Frosted Flakes without the frost. I eat 2 small handfuls with one handful of Honey Nut Cheerios add some walnuts, pumpkin seeds and pecans and top it off with ice cold almond milk and some fake sweetener.. Yup-yummy to my tummy.

Great Taste
I have been doing The Plan for almost 6 weeks now and wanted to try this recommended cereal. It is really good! It is sweet without adding anything to it. To get the needed protein I added hemp seeds to two cups with coconut milk topped with blueberries. I want to eat a bowl of it now just thinking about it.
