Black & Decker 514004367 Air Hose End

I have a very old Black & Decker Air Station model 9527 that just won’t quit, but the tire stem adapter is worn and blows off of the stem when under pressure. I purchased this replacement hose and stem adapter. I also purchased a 3/16” x 3/16” barbed splicer fitting (Lowes item number 877085). I sliced off the worn out stem adapter leaving the maximum amount of hose still attached to the Air Station. I joined the new and old hoses together using the barbed splicer fitting. I applied two 1/8” wide cable ties tightly at the joint (one over the new hose and one over the old hose).

Shipped out quick and arrived with no issues. This attached easily but does not come with a clamp which I found for 50c at the store

I own a 20+ year old Black & Decker Air Station which continues to operate very well. Unfortunately the hose end metal valve no longer stays attached to either my tire valve stem or the adapter used to fill inflatable toys or balls. I purchased this air hose end with the hope of extending the useful life of my Air Station. I cut off the old metal valve end and attached the end of the new hose to the old hose using a brass pneumatic hose connector I bought at a local hardware store. Unlike the original metal valve the new valve is plastic but other than that it did the job. My old Air Station has new life and as a plus a longer hose to accommodate keeping the unit a little further from the tire. I'm thrilled with being able to save my Air Station.

This seems to work fine, but because it didn't have the screw in nozzle built into it, was very hard to install and did not come with the hose clamp for the nozzle end of it. The plastic end that goes onto the air valve on the tire worked well, I just hope it lasts as long as the original metal one.This took a long time to install.
