The threaded mini-UHF male portion of these adapters have a design flaw. The threaded section on the Mini-UHF male side is too long. When you try to tighten it up against the mini-UHF female connection on a radio, the threaded section is so long, it never allows the connector to seat tightly, therefore the SO239 end is left free to spin and flop around loosely. This is a two-pack and both adapters had the same problem. I tried these adapters on several different models of Motorola mobile two-way radios and they present the same problem with all of them. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product due to the poor design and loose connection issue. They are useless to me and I will be returning them as soon as possible.

When the connector is tightened on both ends, the connector wiggles quite a lot (should be strongly fixed and immovable). Had to throw them both in the trash. My loss. On speaking with some other engineers, they too have experienced this defect over the years as well but likely not from this vendor. The original design was made by Amphenol USA but apparently has been copied by other companies likely foreign. A colleague gave me a connector assembly with the connectors affixed to a 6" coaxial cable. That worked perfectly!

They are definitely well machined and beautiful looking but they didn't fit correctly. The center post couldn't be inserted into he coaxial hole without using excessive force.I am still having difficulties trying to make them work correctly. I should have returned them, but I didn't see any other choices on Amazon until a few days ago. Maybe I've ordered the wrong adapters. Please, correct me if I am wrong.Are these supposed to fit a coaxial splitter? Did I ordered the wrong adapters ? If that's was the case, please, accept my apologies. These are not designed to allow tightening on the Motorola 4550 and therefore I suspect on most Motorola radios and perhaps others as well. I tightened with pliers and it fell apart. Now the center pin is probably stuck in my radio.

These arrived faster than I expected and worked perfectly. No need to spend more money when these will do the job.

These connectors are nice if you want to have your portable hand held radio in the vehicle as a 2nd radio..
