My personal favourite
I've tried a number of these, and this one works best for me. I found the others to be too gritty, too powdery, or just too messy. I needed something to help whiten my teeth after years of bad dentistry ( I now have a holistic healer and a new medical team) and too many medications (which it turns out were doing more harm than good). Needless to say, my teeth and my jaw suffered from extreme discomfort. I wanted to whiten my teeth, but knew I had to seriously strengthen my enamel first. I used this by itself for the first almost month, then when I felt I was in a good place to try some whitening, I put some Colgate Optic White on my brush, dipped it in the Avistar, and brushed for 1 to 2 minutes. I cleaned up any residue with a little more toothpaste, and now 3 months later, I have strong teeth and a smile that stays white. I know this is a small container, but (cliche) good things come in small packages! Maybe for others who find charcoal powders to be too messy, try using them with a little toothpaste. This process seems to work a lot better for me if I DON'T wet the brush.

Great results, incredible product
This is possibly the best purchase I've ever made. I have extremely sensitive teeth but occasionally I'll use a whitening strip and suffer through the pain for days after. Never again. I use a little of this powder with my toothpaste and the results are BETTER than what I get with strips (after using 2x/day for a couple days) with absolutely no sensitivity afterwards. In fact, my teeth and gums feel healthier after each use. You only need a small amount for each use, so the jar lasts for quite a while. Its such a great deal and I will 100% be purchasing more in the future.

I've only had this for a week. Brushing can be messy. Clean up is a bit more than usual, but easy. I haven't seen a whitening effect yet, but I'm hopeful.

Shades brighter after first use!
Being a big coffee and tea drinker, I tried all kinds of teeth whitening strips, creams, gels, to help fight stains. I really wasn't comfortable with the bleaching agents and chemicals in most of the products on the market. I was doing some research on natural teeth whiteners and stumbled across an article on activated charcoal. It was worth a try. As soon as it arrived I put it to use. After following the instructions and brushing in a gentle, circular motion for about two minutes, I thoroughly rinsed and presto, my teeth were shades lighter. Granted, they wont be dramatically whiter. I couldnt help being impressed with the initial results, after just one use. Im expecting greater results after a week or so.

Obsessed!
I loved this charcoal whitening powder because it not only made my teeth at least two shades lighter, but it also helped with my teeth sensitivity! I used to have horribly sensitive teeth with hot and cold things. It didn't completely rid me of that sensitivity, but I have noticed a huge difference! I will admit that it was difficult to stay consistent using this product at first because I was so used to my routine that I had perfected for over twenty years! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this product! I would highly recommend using their charcoal mouth wash as well for the best results!

Brush lightly!!!!
BEWARE! BRUSH LIGHTLY. I was a little over zealous the first time using this product and I really gave my gums a terrible road rash. I LOOOOOVE how clean this makes my teeth feel. As far as the whitening effect of this powder, I would give it a 3 out of 5. My teeth appeared brighter, but I wouldn't say it gives a long-lasting whitening effect. Also- I find that the charcoal ends up under my gums after brushing with this, but it does disappear after some time.

I like, but messy.
I just got it so not sure how it will work for whitening my teeth. My mouth does seem a lot cleaner. The only thing that is annoying is the powder seems to go everywhere in my sink, but it does come out easily.

Mess, mess, mess!
Don’t get a powdered charcoal teeth whitener if you’ve got a big of heavy handed butter fingers like me. I’ve spilt this more times than I’ve actually used it. I’m a mess. This was a mess...my mouth feels cleaner, but as my teeth being white?... they’re a little lighter depending on the lighting.
