Sallous Clear Office Chair Mat - 63" x 51" Hard Floor Protector Desk Mat for Home & Gaming (Clear)

I like that it is largely transparent, and not super stiff. Thinner than the box stores mats, in a positive way. It's not ornery to maneuver like my old mat, instead lays easily. The size is great; more coverage. I'm ordering a second mat to place at the office entry, as its so transparent it lets the grain texture of our oak hardwood floor show through and will keep the winter foot traffic from clouding our gorgeous hardwoods. The photos shows some reflections; in person it just looks much better. Some other observations - mat has no plastic odor at all. It does take maybe a week for it to unroll the very end, but not an issue - just place a heavy item on it. It comes packaged on a tube that you unroll. If you had to its easy to return, the way it's packaged. Overall, its a set in place and forget it... gets the job done & protects the floor.

Happy with the size. Covers entire desk and chair with about 3 ft. to push out on my office chair and still be on the mat. Just what I was wanting.

It came rolled up. Since this is the cold season, the plastic was very difficult to unroll. They mention having 2 people unroll it. You need two people. Also having heavy things to hold down the product while it straightens out. is recommended. I would recommend having a warm room to have it relax.

It took no time to lay flat and looks fantastic. Great size and price!

The mat is large enough, but the material is relatively thin and flexible. I work from home and sit at my desk chair for 8+ hours a day, and over a short period of time the wheels of my desk chair make indentations in the material of the mat (I'm not a super heavy person). Those indentations don't seem to go away. At all. The mat is starting to look like the surface of the moon. I'll update my review and lower the overall rating if these things don't go away. Rolling around on this mat currently feels like rolling around on small gravel due to the number of indentations already present. I probably should have paid more for something of greater quality...

Exactly what I needed. I had one of those black payed mats before and it was hard to roll on. I can still walk on my treadmill and roll on this.

Update December 21st 2023:After 3 weeks, I can sadly report that this mat doesn't stay flat, and while in the beginning, it was only the sides that rose up, now the center is coming up as well. Too bad, because I thought it had good potential to be a solution for me.Update December 9th 2023:Lowered to 3 stars. I should have remained skeptical.Unfortunately, it doesn't stay fully flat.You can still roll on it, but the edges are not sitting flat on the floor. Even with having books hold them down for a few days as the manufacturer wants you to do, it does not stay flat. It's now 15 hours after I put it down, and it's already 95% flat. See the picture.I rolled my chair on it, and it was smooth as butter.I also sat on the chair and was able to smoothly roll on it, so it works even with weight on it.I got the 63" x 51" size which covers the width of my desk.As I wrote above, I was very skeptical but this worked very well and I would highly recommend it.

Pros- This mat came in rolled, but when you take off the bottom plastic layer that hides the sticky layer, it rolls out flat.- The sticky layer is strong enough to prevent the chair from folding in on itself, but not so strong that you can't lift it and re-stick it to the right position.- The low pile is perfect for me, I love the carpet feel.- The mat can be cut to be resized (better to cut it before peeling off the plastic layer).- So far the mat isn't leaving any residue on my timber floorboard.Cons- The cons are really minor but the stickiness weakens exponentially every time I lift up the mat to re-stick. (So I try to minimize the number of times I do it, like anyone would)- I can't tell how long this mat would last me, I guess watch this space until the day it breaks lol.
