It’s still not balsa
I guess I should have read more carefully! Or the ad could be better. It’s plywood and as I’d bought it for my 7 year old she wouldn’t be able to cut and shape this like balsa

NOT Balsa
The seller's description states that it is balsa wood and basswood at the same time. This is not possible. The advertisement states in the technical description as "Balsa Wood". But in the product description it says Basswood and Balsa sheets. It is clear that the seller is not being honest with what material is being used in these ply sheets as these have very different characteristics. The use of Balsa right at the start of the title seems to lure people into to buying basswood when they want balsa. Having brough the product, it is clearly Basswood - however I did not return as I still had use for it anyway. If buying for Balsa:This material is too hard to be cut with a normal craft knifeIf buying for Basswood:This material is pretty strong. The grain follows the long edge and can be plied together using wood glue for quite strong homemade 3mm Bass ply which I have used for structural components in various projects.
