I can't get over how much I like this little gadget. Over the years I've purchased several different head mounted lamps, some of them quite expensive at the time. The first one, as I recall used a filament bulb, not an LED, and had 2 C-cells in a battery case. Back then a small wearable headlamp like this would have been pure science fiction. The headband is light, soft, elastic, and comfortable. It is easy to forget you are wearing it. The broad, very bright beam is the most useful, for me at least, since I tend to want to have this sort of light most when working with my hands. (All the times I've done plumbing in a dark basement, this gadget would have been a godsend.) The narrow beam, like a conventional flashlight, can be used close-up to focus a lot of light in a small area, but I think one of the best applications would be for situations like walking at night.I didn't find any instructions in the box, but the controls are very intuitive. One button is used to cycle through the light modes and brightness -- bright broad, 1/2 bright broad, bright beam, 1/2 bright beam, and off. A clever feature -- if you run the lamp in a given mode for more than 10 seconds, the next time you press the button, the lamp goes off, rather than cycling to the next setting.But what is really wild is the built-in touchless sensor. After you select a lighting mode, pressing the second button turns a small red indicator LED from red to green. Now you can turn the lamp on and off by just waving your hand past the lamp body. That's quite a trick. Finally I appreciate that when charging the lamp, the indicator glows red while charging and turns green when done.At first I wasn't sure about buying a pack of three. But I can understand how that keeps the cost per unit down, and now that I've seen how small but useful this lamp is, I plan to keep one in the car, one in my tool box, and one on my night stand.How I assign stars in a review.The star ratings are always in relation to the item's intended purpose, type, and durability.5 stars - The item is perfect with no room for meaningful improvement. The item performs its intended function consistently, and without fail. It also appears to be durable in its manufacture and materials.4 stars - While not perfect, any imperfections are likely to go unnoticed in normal use. The item should be durable given normal care and handling.3 stars - The item has significant shortcomings or limitations, but these do not significantly degrade performance. And/or the item may not be durable if not handled with some degree of care.2 stars - The item has defects or shortcomings that compromise performance. And/or the item may be likely to fail prematurely even with careful use.1 star - The item does not function correctly in any meaningful way or is very difficult or even hazardous to use. And/or the item failed completely with very little use.

This headlamp works really well and was an incredible price for three. Here are the positives I have found:- Band is soft, very comfortable and easily adjustable- The main COB LED is incredibly bright!- On/Off switch is easy to reach and set with large textured buttons on the side of the headband- The hand wave sensor switch is a great option for when you are wearing gloves - just wave your hand for on/off- The XPE LED provides a smaller area, focused beam flashlight which is perfect for some situations- I love that is uses USB-C for recharging. The cable that it comes with is USB-C to USB-A.- IPX4 water resistant - so no worries in the rainThe only concerns I would point out are that the main light at full brightness is the initial setting when you first turnt the headlight on. It is incredibly bright and so it would be nicer, I think, if it turned on to the low setting first, or maybe the last setting used. Also, the main light at full brightness does get a bit warm if you are wearing directly on your forehead. Other than those two points I would recommend this product.

If it lasted 8 hrs with the led wide band on it would be perfect, but after about 1hr it starts going dim then the time to charge flshing lightening bolt comes on at about 2 hrs. Only charges on slow charging chargers. Will not charge on any charger with over 5w output.That being said, great design, super wide area of very bright white light & great to have in your pocket in case you need it for an emergency. It takes about 2 hrs to fully charge. I have noticed that the more I use & recharge it the longer the runtime has become, I will buy more.

For the price, such an amazing product. For my line of work, I’m pretty much in a roof or under the house every other day and this makes my life that much easier
