Legit!
This thing works. Paddling out used to drain me big time, with boost it's way easier - now I have enough energy left to actually catch a wave afterwards LOL. I tried to get to the lineup on boost alone, without paddling myself: it works, but takes a while - so I usually use the fin and paddle simultaneously. It also helps to catch the wave, but you have to use the higher speed setting (there are two buttons, regular and high) and learn to time it correctly. It's obviously not magic - you still have to paddle hard. But the difference is significant and for me it’s a game-changer.Gotta mention that I'm new to this and use a 8ft board, not sure how this would feel on a shorty. I would certainly recommend it for anyone that's at my level.

Electric Boogie Board- Boost Fin
The media could not be loaded. Super Stoked! I was looking up electric boogie boards because Im getting older and broke my arm last year dirt biking and it’s messed up at the shoulder and paddling out and popping up is too brutal for me to Surf comfortably anymore. I hope the jacked up boogie board will help me get out there and start building up some strength and have some fun. I bought two different adapters.. the stick on and the soft top adapters. Because of the curve of the boogie board, it wouldn’t hold on the bottom with the glue. Luckily the soft top adapter is perfect and a quick install with just two easy holes to drill and pop it in. The adapter came with two different length of two screws. The longer screws are just right. I took the two short ones and with the boat repair glue included in the stick on adapter kit and glued them to back of the controller button then drilled two short holes in the front of the boogie board put some of the boat repair glue in the holes and push the screws in. It holds tight even with out the glue. I’m going to try it in the pool as soon as I’m sure all the glue is set then will take it to Ocean Beach San Diego and see how we can rock this thing!

Sent me an old broken unit
Sent me an old broken, used unit. For $600, should never happen. Disappointed and turned off to owning the product now.

Get Boost
The boost fin gave me wings. It's a wonderful addition to my board. The app is a great personal assistant for all things surfing 🌊.

Great product! It has me back surfing regularly.
I wasn’t sure if this product would deliver on its promises, but it has far surpassed my expectations! I suffered several shoulder injuries, two requiring surgery. My paddling strength after the operation was very low. Surfing was just frustrating. After installing the Boost fin I was able to catch waves again and regain my Stoke for surfing! It works quite well on my 7’ Aipa. I’ve also used it on longboards and SUP’s. It’s worked great on all. This fin helps with paddling to the line up and catching waves. Also cruising on a SUP. It does create a little drag while surfing, but it’s worth it considering how many more waves I’m catching. The best part is that using the Boost fin during my shoulder recovery allowed me to develop and recondition those muscles and now I’m back to surfing on my own power, but I still enjoying using the Boost fin on about half of my sessions.

Fun addition to a paddleboard
This has been a lot of fun. I had to file down the piece that fits into the board but once I got that in the rest works great. It took a minute to figure out the speeds. It is basically full throttle or it does a pulse thing then stops. Hard to turn the paddleboard at full throttle so I turn it off to shift direction then start again.

Easy to use
2 months of use on my paddleboard, here in phx, primarily on the Salt River. I've run it through about 12 trips down the river (also 12 charging cycles). Winter/Spring, the water flow is low and slow. Usually, a 3-4 hour coast or a couple hour paddle. primarily I use it on demand as a supplement to paddling and as needed. This was fun with this fin assist. I'm able to spend more time checking out different areas of the river with less effort to battle currents and catch up to the group rapidly.I run into rocks regularly in the rapids when the river is low, no issues yet (leading edge looks like any other fin you run into rocks with, a little ding here or there, but not any issues and nothing more than expected).I could see this being a big help if you have an injury or just not up to the level of your group. for me, I just want to explore more and do more but don't want to spend too much time and effort catching up.

Great Idea But Not Ready for Real Surfers - Tested at Doheny CA Beach
Tested on Softtop Expoxy 9ft 6in longboard on 7-10-2024Heard about this Boost fin from another surfer who had one on 7-902024My surfing level is advanced. Have been surfing for over 30 years in southern California and Hawaii. All of this took place at Doheny Beach surfing a spot called ThorsInstallation was very easy.Overall it is a very cool idea.Pros: Great to help you paddle back out. Can see this working great for SUP in harbor or lake where it is calm and you want some extra forward motion helpCons: Many so take note. 1. Heavy. Tough to carry board from car to water and its ruins the surfing experience on a wave. Feels like someone is dragging on my leash. 2. Not for surfing on a longboard due to the drag 3. The propeller boost is not enough to get you into a wave. This is not someone pulling you into a wave like a wave runner does. 4. Technology is just not ready for prime time 5. Seaweed got caught in my test session and turned it off 6. Very expensive for the features/benefit provided.Appreciate Boost coming up with the idea, but don't market that you will catch 3X the waves when that is not true. Take it from an expert surfer that has been doing the sport since 1983.
