Total Garbage...Do not buy!!!
False advertising. Claims 5% malodextron, yet listed as number one ingredient on the package. And of course ineligible for return. Trash...My first ever review, as I am appalled at this fraud.

Smells odd but tastes ok
Comes in a resealable bag where the lemon powder is very finely ground so it has zero issue dissolving in water, even Luke warm water with mixing/shaking. The smell of the powder prior to using it a bit odd, but after mixing with water it tastes like regular lemonade. No added sugar so if you want sweet lemonade you'll need to add sugar.

Tastes like lemon, very fine powder, unsweetened
I'll admit, when I tasted the powder I was a little worried. It's lemony, but also bitter and sour. By itself it's actually sort of unpleasant. It's not at all like lemonade or reallemon (brand) drink mix. But it turns out THIS is what lemon actually tastes like! Add just like you would concentrated lemon to baking or hot water, and add plenty of sugar, and it's fantastic. We had a need for it the day it arrived - hot lemon with honey for a sore throat. This worked perfectly; the kids asked for more. There's plenty in the bag but when it runs out we'll probably restock as I'm sure it will keep longer than concentrated lemon or powdered stuff with sugar.

Very off-putting flavor.
Tastes okay, just way too flat and bitter for my tastes. I smelled it and it had an off-putting odor like rotten lemon peel, but thankfully it doesn't transfer when consuming this. Freeze dried lemon peel taste like what's in this, if that gives you an idea on how bland this tastes. May need lots of doctoring to make it more palatable, and may not be a good choice if you wanted to use this for frosting and improving the lemon flavor in pies or tarts. The flavor is really too flat for that. Perhaps a tart booster or more sugar can really make it shine, but as is I really can't recommend this.

It's lemon powder..
I'm not really sure what to do with this or what quantities to use it in- the packaging could really do better to say roughly how much lemon equivalent is in a tsp or tbsp. Guessing here isn't cool.It does have a some lemony flavor if you just touch your tongue to a dab of powder, but it's missing something- the big tartness of lemon maybe? It's a little tart but not much.I tried to mix it into a little bit of warm water but it doesn't mix very well, leaves bits of powder chunks behind. I then strained it and tried to make lemonade but couldn't get the lemon tartness to come through despite adding more and more powder I could see adding it to hot tea if it mixed well- but it doesn't.So perhaps useful in a baked dish that isn't lemon centric but could use a little lemon flavor, like my blackberry pie recipe has a bit of lemon juice and this could go in with the sugar to coat the blackberries. But how much to use?!
