This review is for ProHealth Longevity Acetyl l-carnitine Brain & Heart Health Booster.I am in that age group where you really, really care about staying on top of your health! I was looking for something to support healthy cognition, healthy brain, healthy cardiovascular system, healthy everything! This Acetyl-l-carnitine was the boost that I was looking for. There were plenty of good reviews about this brand ProHealth Longevity and lots of good reviews on the benefits of taking this amino acid. Unfortunately, my physician said this is not the right supplement for me. So, word to the wise.... there are some supplements that are innocuous. Then there are some people in particular that should really consult their physician about using Acetyl l-carnitine. Otherwise, Prohealth is a trusted brand that goes back to 1988! They do 3rd party lab testing. Their manufacturing facility is in the USA and it is cGMP. There are many good reviews on the ProHealth Longevity and this Acetyl-l Carnitine. The suggested dose is 1-3 a day depending on advice from your physician. This is a great product at a good price.

This is my first supplement purchase from this brand. I appreciate that they do third party testing, and use a minimal amount of fillers. This does seem to be a higher quality product, as I did notice some benefits after a few days of taking it.As with all supplements, do not expect a miracle overnight-or for everything to work for everyone. For my individual body chemistry, I did notice a slight benefit in clearer thinking. Not major. I still needed to take my ADD medication. But any improvement is appreciated. I did not notice weight loss was hoping for...maybe 0.5 lb over the course of taking this. However, if I did need to take it again I would go back to this brand.I am not a health professional, but am experienced with supplements, take many, and found that this incorporated into my stack well. No side effects noted. I took this on an empty stomach before going to bed each night (easier for me to have an empty stomach then for amino acids, than in the morning when I need to eat).

Mitochondrial health is important, though, in general our cells do an exceptional job on their own.This supplement caused no adverse effects, however there were no measurable improvements, either.I will consider an additional purchase of this product in an attempt to measure some of the parameters identified.

So far I like this supplement I have no complaints. They are easy to swallow capsules no weird after taste is left behind.

I got the ProHealth Longevity Acetylcarnitine Brain and Heart Health Booster for my husband who is concerned about memory loss and other loss of brain functions. He has used this product for nearly three weeks at two pills a day and has noticed that he is able to keep his focus better. I am hopeful that with continued use that we will see more improvement and plan on purchasing this product once his supply runs out. The price is great for what he has turned into a sixty day supply (two pills a day and 120 pills in the bottle).My Amazon rating system-Five stars-Great item. May have a minor flaw that does not detract from appearance or function.Four stars-Great item. Flaw or problem more noticeable. Or, price may be high for what it is.Three stars-Good item. Has a flaw/problem that requires more work than should be invested in a product.Two stars-May be a good item with work. Or, doesn’t work for me but may for someone else.One star-Nope. Amazon shows some testing and the bottle claims heavy metals tested and GMP certified. Bottle says “USA Manufactured Global Ingredients.”Not enough. When I’m taking raw ingredients like this I need to know that there are regulated and tested. I can’t just believe they have my best intentions.Formula looks right - but I need to know it’s real.
