Q: Will this work from a cable box to projector?

Q: My other brand vga to hdmi works perfectly. my tv only displays "no signal" with this connected. how do i make it work?

Since the other brand worked, you know it IS possible to send computer VGA signal to the TV/monitor's HDMI input. That said, if you tried everything, it is entirely possible that the unit is simply faulty. Contact Amazon/vendor to try a replacement unit. BTW, mine had not problem. Good luck to you!

Hi there, this product is tested on 50 Hz and 60 Hz. It might not perform well on 75 Hz or higher frequencies. By the way, this product is designed for some kind of old computer that is equipped with VGA output and then link to the HDMI monitor. The resolution would come out with a basic performance of up to 1080P / 60 Hz. It would not work well for 2K/ 4K/ 8K TV or PC Action Gamer that requires a high frequency like 120Hz. Q: When i connect this to my computer and than the monitor hdmi cord to it, it doesn't work. any suggestions?

First, make sure the separate USB power cord is also connected to the computer. Otherwise, the video portion would not come on. If that does not work, the unit itself could be faulty. Exchange and try another unit from the company. The concept of using the VGA output from the laptop/desktop to connect to a monitor/TV's HDMI input is sound and works. Being using mine for years.
