It works, but why the booster? (16 ft)
I came to a realization while setting this up in the living room - 16 feet is probably around the shortest cable length you can get away with for wired VR on the Quest, without feeling actively constrained by the cable. My previous link cable that I was using may have been similar length, but it didn't need a signal booster. I don't notice any difference in connection stability or picture quality between the two, so I'm not sure a 16 ft cable needs it at all.I found that the signal booster box on the cable was pretty noticeable while in use, as I was stepping on it and getting it caught on things. Because it's only 8 feet from you and 8 feet from the source, it's sort of in the perfect position to be as likely as possible to get in the way. Yeah, I probably wouldn't go with the booster one - at least if you're only getting a 16 ft cable.

Works as a long extension - Sorta
The USB cable failed to adequately boost data transmission of a low power device (Wired PC Gamepad). My Oculus Quest 2 showed slow charging and no data transmission as well. This is while being plugged into the appropriate, high power, USB port on the PC.I have a working 20' extension USB repeater cable that I have been using for 2 years, This does not compare at all to that cable. My old cable was about the same price 2 years ago as well.I think I may have just received a cable with a bad repeater. I have tested several of these cables in the past few weeks, finding at least half of them being flawed in the data transmission side of things. The cable arrived in undamaged packaging and the cable itself appeared undamaged as well.
