It allows me to seamlessly switch between my old and new computers displays
I recently built a new PC and have been using both my old and new systems simultaneously to manage files and transfer data. The DisplayPort Switch has been incredibly useful for this task. It allows me to seamlessly switch between my old and new computers displays without the hassle of unplugging everything. The 8K resolution support and the ability to toggle between duplicate and extended modes have been a great asset for maintaining a clear, detailed view across both monitors.

Works perfectly, saves a lot of hassle.
Working from home, I now find that having to move from device to device which is not only laborious, it results in excessive wear and tear on the key ports on my laptop and PC.This handy device adds a perfect middleman to male things a lot easier as long as you have display port on both machines. Operation is easy, simply plug in your 2 devices into the PC1 and PC2 ports and connect your USB-C cable to connect both devices. Then run the DP cable from the switch to the monitor, connect your peripherals to the front (strangely these are the older USB3 format??), and use the "select" button to switch between your computers, it really is easy. The switch itself feels like its high quality, with its grey metal surround, it both looks good and feels robust. Similarly the ports are all good quality, with no cable wiggle, they all grip well an make an excellent connection. In use I had no issues with it's operation, and I couldn't see any noticeable loss of picture quality or input lag.Ultimately this isn't cheap, but it does a great job, just bear in mind that:- It's mains powered, you need a plug close by.- It has a mix of USB ports, so you will need to ensure that you have the appropriate ports and cables for the input and output.- This is DP not HDMI, make sure that your device is compatible.

Great quality item. I have tried few of these and this one is bulkier than others but works very well. Picture quality is excellent and all ports are responsive and strong.

It supports high resolutions up to 8K60Hz for crisp visuals and boasts a sleek aluminum design. Sharing four USB devices between computers is convenient, and the desktop control simplifies switching. However, keep in mind this KVM requires each computer to have two DisplayPort outputs and a USB-C port for full functionality. Too many cables!
The benefit of KVM switches is 2 fold - an ability to switch, and a neater desk. With that premise, here are my thoughts..... on paper it let's you connect 2 computers to 2 screens and seamlessly switch between them. I have both the Display Port version of this and the HDMI. They are basically identical in function so get the one for which you already own the right type of cables. More on that below! There are a LOT of cables. It requires 6 (yes, six) HDMI cables. I'm still not really clear why it needs 6 HDMI cables in from each computer, but it does. It needs 2 HDMI cables out - one to each screen. It's a lot of cables flying around and honestly a mess on my desk. That's assuming you even own 6 HDMI cables and have them spare for this. The cables will cost almost as much as the KVM switch but at least they tend to be a bit cheaper than the DisplayPort alternative box.The switch itself is nice. 2x USB 3.0 ports + 2x USB 2. There is an extension switch which I don't use because its yet another cable on my desktop but it works fine without it.*Conclusions*It succeeds in switching but fails in keeping the desk tidy and the cost of 6 HDMI cables on top of the switch itself needs to be factored in

Switches OK, little messy in use.
Plugs in and and switches as designed. No problems there.Supplied with a power adaptor, two USB-A to USB-C leads and a remote switch which duplicates the button on the front. This unit has, necessitated by the compact size, connections on front and back so when in use it's at the centre of a spider's web of cables. So you wouldn't necessarily want it on your desk taking up precious space. No problem, it can be tucked away elsewhere with only the remote switch on the desk. But then the LED lights on the front showing which PC is live can't be seen...May no be a problem but be aware of it. Other than that. a useful product to have around.
