Favorite Roses Coloring Book (Dover Flower Coloring Books)

These are exactly what I expected and more. I use them all the time. Great for artists or beginners. I would guess, I’m no artist though. Haven’t colored since elementary school and mid 40’s.Especially in a pandemic where stress can build up due to lack of normal life’s experiences these have been so much fun and a true pleasurable distraction. When coloring in these books and other art projects and can zone out and trust me it is very hard with two dying love ones that are my everything:( I AM NO ARTIST but I feel with these I almost fool myself and that’s all that matters. I’m also watch over my chronically ill mother and 13 year old dog which is my life so you can imagine the sadness at times has felt unbearable. I’m very grateful to do what I can although I cannot cure the inevitable and it really weighs on a person. I use these all the time to calm down and try not to get to depressed while staying positive for my mother and my love and heart; dog. Someone told me about these for months. To lazy, tired, upset, whatever to look into them. What a mistake that was.Great escape.

Easy to see designs, and adding colors of your choice, in any coloring medium you wish. You can almost smell their fragrance!

I ordered this coloring book for my grandma. She is 95 and enjoys coloring, it gives her something to do and is relaxing for her as well. Her favorite flower in the world is roses, so I thought she'd enjoy this which she did, but I'd have to agree with other reviewers, I wish the designs were not printed on both sides of the page. Depending on what type of medium you're using this could be really annoying if your colors bled through, etc. As far as the illustrations are concerned, they range from more simplistic to more complex and offer a description of each type of rose as well as a glossary in the back of each type included. The illustrations are nice for someone like my grandma who doesn't do a lot of shading or in-depth coloring anymore, but they would also be excellent for someone who does want to shade and use a more detailed approach. I did also want to note that the book I received had a few creased pages, which was a bit off-putting especially since I was gifting it.I've added some pictures of a few of the illustrations, there are 46 varieties in total to color.

Wonderful book. The designs are nice and big which make it more relaxing to color. A real nice selection of pictures too. Great price as well! Well worth buying. No bleed over either from 1 page to another.Favorite Roses is a fantastic book. There are 46 different varities of Roses found between these pages and anyone whose a lover of roses will appreciate the pictures in it.They have their names types of rose and in the back, there is a glossery giving a description of each catagory of rose. These pictures are easy to color as well. They aren't removable so you or someone that loves roses will have a nice collection to look through and show off.I can't stress it enough about making sure to have something under your picture if it isn't removable so you won't leave imprints on the picture under it or color markings from the one already done. You don't want anything to mess up your hard work on these wonderful pictures in any of these books.

A Must for every Rose 🌹 Lover, and Botanical artist out there! My copy arrived today just as Amazon promised. When I opened the book I was speechless. Such a compilation of every type of rose , beautifully sketched. I had my doubts when I ordered it, due to the book being so inexpensive. What was the deciding factor was the visual tour a buyer had submitted, the art work did look enticing so for this price I decided to give it a try! It was worth it!!!!! I have payed more for far less. Every flower lover and just those who love coloring book art should have a copy or two in their possession . The artist gives you a brief history of each flower. Where can you get so much for so little?

If you love roses, you will like this book. I like that they give you info on leaf and flower color so, if you choose, you can attempt to color them as they actually are meant to be OR you can be creative and choose your own color. I have looked the roses up online so I can get a good idea of how they should look and I try my best to obtain the correct color....lol! I'm kind of a perfectionist! The one thing I DO NOT LIKE are the leaves. For whatever reason every rose has the exact same leaves....not sure that's the case in nature. I also dislike how the leaves are so prominent. The outside edges of the leaves are just odd to me....strangely outlined! I was put off by this initially but not much I can do about it. All in all I'm enjoying this book.

Roses, roses and more roses. Nice little bit of history, color and description with each picture. Disappointed that no lavender roses were included but nothing to keep you from choosing colors out of your garden regardless of the 'named' illustration colors. Cecil Bruner not accurate, portrayed as a tea instead of dense, open habit of polyantha blooms. Several old favorites included, many others I'm not familiar with, so will utilize 'poetic license' in color choices as noted above.

Beautiful pictures of roses to color. If you love flowers and roses you would like this book The only drawback is that the picture are on both sides of the page I would prefer a picture on one side of page. Still beautiful coloring book.

Bought three of this book, got one to see what like and pictures are so detailed and that's what I was after. They are detailed so better for adults or children with an eye for detail. The other two books I'm going to experiment with different textures. If your looking for a good book on roses this is the one. Buy,enjoy you'll love it.

Lovely book for anyone who like me loves roses. The pictures are really clear and wonderful information about them. Would definitely recommend.

I like it, keep coloring when I need to relax.
