I really enjoyed this set of watercolor pens. I am a novice when it comes to watercolor but this made my learning really fun and simple. It's pretty neat that they included two water pens, which is why I picked it over other brands. There are many colors of varying tints, shades, and tones. That's helpful because aside from mixing colors, it can be hard to control how much to dilute with your water pen. The brush heads themselves feel to me very much like a synthetic brush but with good fibers and will handle reasonable use. The pigmentation is strong on some so you will have to experiment. In general I feel like it's decently easy to mix, although I haven't used pens from other brands so I can't compare that trait. I'm still getting used to the many ways you can use the pens. Like wet on wet or wet on dry techniques. I'll update after I've had them for longer! There's no instruction booklet so it's really your own adventure. Also, my friends have had a chance to try it too. It can be challenging to control watercolor, but everyone enjoyed the new experience. Definitely recommend! I attached a piece I did after some practice, using only Doodle Hog markers and water pen.

These blend so nicely for the most part. A couple of the neon colors don’t blend as well as the rest but they’re very bright so that’s ok. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that there are to many oranges and they are so similar in shade. I counted 10 orange and 4 were so similar in shade that it seemed a waste, they could have added some grays instead or more true blue shades.Other than that, the box it comes in is sturdy and good to store them, they swatch beautifully on cold press watercolor paper, the brush tips are a good size and none of them were dry. The tip will allow for some nice detail work as well. Overall this is a really nice set, a good value. I recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a reasonably priced set of good watercolor pens.

What a wonderful set of markers. I have used them on regular copy paper and gotten outstanding results. The colors are so vibrant and the brush tips makes them easy to control. I believe these markers rival the much more expensive brands. I have also used them as a base color and then used colored pencils over them with great results. I’m very pleased with this set. I like that the cap stacks on the end. I also like the color name as well as the color number is written on the barrel. The end of the pen also has the color on it. It comes with two blending pens as well. I think it’s a really good value. I really love that they are brush tips.I had to contact the company about a very minor issue and they bent over backwards to make it right. I can’t stress how great their service is. To me that’s very important. I will be purchasing their products in the future as well.

Actually was shocked when I swatched these and found them comparable to Tombows in a waterbrush. I read the reviews and thought, okay, I'll give them a try, and what do you know; they worked like the majority of the reviewers have said they would! I am super impressed. I am only a hobbyist and don't sell any of my "work"; I do just about every kind of artwork under the sun and have about all my money tied up in it, too, so anytime I can find less expensive alternatives to the more well-known brands that will give comparable results, I'm all for it. These brush markers are a prime example of comparable quality, seriously. My swatch picture, keep in mind, was a very small page (about 6x5 inches) so I didn't have a lot of room to work down into all the gradients, but just that first time I used them, I was amazed at how workable each color was! Yes, I'd love some more greens and reds, and that first color (a neon yellow) is not water soluble at ALL) but hey, you CANNOT beat that price anywhere. I have used them about a dozen times in the last few weeks, and even the colors I've used the most have shown no signs of slowing down, so even if they were to slow down down I'd still be happy for the price I paid. Thinking about buying a couple more sets before everyone else catches on and they raise the price due to demand, which will ultimately happen. Grab 'em while you can!

I bought this as a gift for my friend’s daughter, and she absolutely loved them. They seem well made and include a variety of colors. I’d never seen anything f like these before and was surprised at how well they worked.

I did not expect this type of quality for the price. It is amazing! The colors on the paper are very accurate to the colors on the pens. The usability is also very great and beginner friendly. The blender brush is also simple to use but can be difficult at times to blend two different colors after being drawn by the pens. It is also simple to clean and the water is not an issue as the engineering on these pens are remarkable! I 100% recommend these pens to beginners or as a gift.
