Love this bamboo runner. Ordered it several times although it last forever and it protects my wooden floors from scratches.

I bought one runner and like it enough to buy two more. Runner has the right bow, meaning the edges stay down toward the floor and center has a slight rise. Other similar mats I've used can sometimes bow the wrong direction (raised edges) The surface is clean and smooth, not slick to socked or bare feet. Grip on carpet is ok. Generous 118 long, just love this mat!

I got several different bamboo mats recently. I like most of them.This is the only one that doesn't seem to be shellacked or varnished. So on one hand, it feels more natural. But on the other, I have this on the path my dog takes from the backyard and it seems mudstains cling to it more readily. I just went and checked, the stains do wash off readily, so they aren't seeped in. The other bamboo mats are more impervious to stains, but also don't feel as nice.Seems durable and well made so far.

We love it, light but very well made, feels great to walk on without shoes and it is beautiful. Friends admire it!

1) Very smooth and comfortable to walk on2) Beautiful, neutral, light brown with a slightly darker brown trim3) It skids on the carpet, but not enough to complain. Get a rubber mat made for runners if this is a huge issue for you.4) My Pug's ungodly shedding never shows (lol)5) Warms the room no matter what color rug or area rug you have6) Does *not* look, cheap.7) Lastly, fast shipping and the manufacturer sent an email for me to give a review... I actually got this to use as a runner on a built-in shelf that is 10' long and 2' deep. I wanted something easier to dust than the cloth runner I had been using. The runner is almost 2' wide, although the bamboo strips vary about 1/2" from one end to the other. I don't think this would be noticeable at all on the floor. It looks pretty much as pictured on this page, with the brownish cotton border. The slats are perfectly straight and uniform, so there are no lumps or twists. There is a backing on the underside, which is not non-skid, but will definitely grip a rug or carpet. It also seems to reduce slipping a bit on the painted surface of my shelf. I expect I'll get another one for the other built-in--for that day when I'm feeling ambitious enough to move all the stuff on it.The slats are not sealed, so, of course, I immediately spilled water on the runner. I wiped it with a towel, but the bamboo absorbed some. There was no spotting after it dried completely.

EDIT UPDATE - price on my invoice was raised by $6 AFTER I made the order. The seller is refusing to honor the sale price in effect at the time I ordered this - END EDIT SECOND EDIT - after two messages the seller did refund $6, human error.I bought two nice bamboo rugs and decided to add this longer hallway runner but it does not match, not as durable because each strip is narrower and thinner with less of a shine and the rubber nibs underneath are not as pronounced as they are with other similar looking but better made bamboo rugs. Also there are ten exposed threads running over the tops of the strips for the full length, these can be broken easily. The edge trimming is the same though, pretty durable looking and made from bamboo fiber. I decided to keep it but am not real happy with this being different from the other rugs due to all the exposed surface threads and it creeps one foot down my hallway every day. All of these rugs have a light pleasant bamboo smell.
