Nifty piece of kit and great customer support!
This is a very cool piece of kit, and customer support is great. The first device I ordered would not write to the SD card reader, and my computer would not boot with it connected. I reported the issue to the seller via Amazon's communication tools and got a response within a day. After we attempted some troubleshooting we determined the device was defective. The seller gave me a full refund AND SENT A NEW DEVICE! The replacement works perfectly. This device provides a very nifty way to neaten up your desk.

Works like it should.
Device works well with my pc. My only issue is that the hole in my desk seems to be a millimeter or two too large making the device a bit loose. This is only and issue when I am removing a USB. It requires me to hold down the device so that it doesn't come out of the hole. For the record, I used the 60 millimeter hole saw that was required to make the hole. The device looks great on my desk and it works well so I really don't have much to complain about.

Good and usefule, with a couple of shortcomings
The features of this device are definitely a winner: Not only does it have the 3 different USB ports, but also the built in dual card reader (only one card at a time though). The unit functions as a USB hub, so you connect the integrated USB cable (that comes out of the bottom) to your PC, thus turning 1 port on the PC into 3 ports on your desk. The other great feature is that there is a cutout so that you can still run a few cables through the grommet hole (most similar items completely close off the hole. This can also be used to run up the USB cable to the top of the desk if you happen to have your PC on the desk rather than under it.There are 3 shortcomings:1.) The USB cable is not as long as it should be in my view. The grommet holes are usually in the desk corners, so if your PC is on the other side of the desk then the built-in cable is not long enough. For this price I would have expected a 6 to 8 ft USB cord.2.) This is for a 60mm cutout, but most US desks have 2.5" holes, so this will sit loose in the hole and makes it hard to unplug cables without pulling the entire unit out. If you're cutting a new hole in your desk and can find the correct hole saw, that may not be an issue but most people will replace an existing grommet. The workaround I used was pretty simple: Instead of removing the old grommet entirely, I only removed the inner lid, I kept the flanged "ring" in place. This reduced the effective hole diameter so that I could press-fit this new grommet in place.3.) The 2 USB A ports should be turned 180 degrees: There are a bunch of retractable USB thumb drives on the market, where you have to use a finger to hold the sliding mechanism in place, otherwise the USB connector just slides back into the housing. With the way these connectors are currently mounted, that side of the drive faces the rear, but it should face the front. So, in summary: You may have to do some re-arranging / creativity to get this installed, but once it's in place it's certainly convenient (except for the orientation of the USB connectors)

Great add on for desk
Works perfect don’t use a 60. Mm hole saw little to large had to use hot glue to take up extra space. 59mm would be better

This unit stopped reading my SSD USB Drives after a month
Pretty disappointed with this product. Initially everything worked fine, but after one month of light use, it won't read my solid state usb drives. It can handle my old USB 2.0 sticks, and is hit or miss with SD cards (didn't investigate that one too much as I was too upset with the rest). Had an old Chinese dodocool hub that I tried in the same port, and everything reads just fine. This one not so much - with or without the power adder.

Bad Quality control on internals
Plugged it up. Tested a variety of USB devices and SD cards. Some worked, some didn't, others worked intermittently. USB connectivity was poor. Unplugged, tested on another computer, same results. Item warm to the touch (Warmer than it should be). Opened the device and there's bad connections on the board in it. Residue as well, not solder flux but looks to be corrosion.

Works like a charm.
Nice and pretty much flat when nothing is plugged in. It was a little loose (twisted easily), but I fixed that by wrapping it in a rubber band.

Works Fine After Modifications
The Good: This product looks great on my desk and is *very* convenient. I'm glad I purchased it.The Not-So-Good: It fits loose when using the hole size they recommend. I solved this by wrapping a few layers of masking tape around the body to make it fit more snugly. Not a huge deal, really, but it's unfortunate that I had to do this. (This knocked off one star.)The Bad: The 5-volt power feeds back through the USB connector into the computer which, in my case, caused my computer not to boot. I solved this temporarily by placing a small piece of tape over pin one on the plug that fits into the computer. My more permanent solution is I designed a small PCB with two USB receptacles on it that will go in-line between this unit and the computer. I left pin 1 disconnected between the two receptacles, so I don't have to worry about it at all. This is DEFINITELY not something I should have had to do, and I would have knocked off two stars, but the great look and convenience led me to only knock off one star.
