What a game changer!
I struggled with pureeing food for my father. What I like: Dad likes the flavors. It’s fast and easy. They have good nutrition and fill him up. What I dislike: Puréed food looks bad but it serves an important purpose for swallowing and choking problems. How I use it: I make up little meals in storage containers. I put an entree servings, some vegetable and pudding for dessert. 🍮 Then I store them in the refrigerator to make meal times fast and easy. My recommendation: You will be glad you got them! A real game changer for me. Caregiving is hard on good days. This makes the rough days a little easier.

Purchased for Grandfather
I bought these for my grandpa since we had been blending his food to make it easier for him to swallow and to help with dinner time going by a little faster. These worked really well, there was a flavor he wasn’t super fond of but otherwise had no difficulty feeding him. The consistency was really on par for what we were looking for.

Grainy texture and awful taste
We thought we’d give these a try for a variety of dinners. The beef stew was bad, not a whole lot of flavor and grainy texture. The barbecue beef was even more grainy. I tried to add some broth and BBQ sauce and blended it, it did get smoother but the taste did not improve. I’m hoping the chicken choices are better, but I don’t have high gopes!

What you need to know....
Beef is one of the worst for consistency...very grainy and with dysphagia harder to swallow, used immersion blender for beef and took 10 mins to get to desired consistency for person. All of chicken products are awesome. Beef stew has to much salt and very salty taste. Cin. toast one is too cinnamon for my taste. Its very easy to get fed up with same flavors. For food stamp people you should offer individual cans of everything. You would sell more. 2 cans of chicken were damaged in my case. You should also offer the roasted check tray and other with food stamps. Love the thick it water and honey thick products. For me you must understand this is ongoing problem with elders and even some kids so offering individual and all available with stamps would help....

Taste
Medication has made my teeth start to deteriorate making eating difficult and very painful. I don't have the $30,000 to fix them SO I started cooking really soft foods but got tired of lack of variety. SO tried the chicken patty first. A reviewer wrote gritty, but not really ...if you remember chewed up chicken patty is not creamy. For the review who returned it because daddy wouldn't eat it needs to learn from my experience of a stubborn Daddy. Daddy is just showing his anger over getting old. I know. I had one and in the nursing home he refused and ate a piece of chicken and died from choking on it.Flavor? a little salty but ok ... I always have this one motto ... everything tastes better with butter on it. (unsalted butter)

Grainy
This is so grainy. The flavour is not there and it feels like you’re choking in every bite.

Pre pureed food is so convenient
My gma just started a full pureed diet. This has come in handy for those nights where the meals just won't puree. She seems to love them all but the chicken. And she just doesn't like chicken normally so we expected that. Great meals.
