Great for home brewing.
I have been using these bags for a couple of years now to make herbal infusions. It's much quicker and more convenient than having to strain the herbs every day after steeping. The bags are not the best quality. There is a lot of fraying and they haven't lasted through more than a couple of uses, but they work for my personal use. Hence, I am reordering more of these. I would not use these bags for a professional product though. I feel the bags would really make your products look inferior.***************I have purchased more of these bags, and this time the quality is far superior to the first set of bags purchased. The drawstring is much stronger and the bags are of thicker quality as well. I am very happy with this purchase. The second set of bags were purchased from jade725. The first set were purchased from MrandMrsKefir. I am raising the review from 3 stars to 5 stars due to the quality of the second set.

Great for a crafty project involving number stamping
I used these in creating a fun advent calendar for Christmas. I stamped numbers on them and they turned out great. Very good price on these also. The muslin texture helped give the stamped numbers a very vintage feel which is exactly what I wanted. Admittedly not a common use for these but they served the purpose I needed them for perfectly. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the other 25 bags, lol!

Perfect for Lovely Herbal Baths
These muslin bags are absolutely perfect for herbal baths. You can easily fit a heaping teaspoon of dried herbs into the bag, in fact you can do this several times to make an herbal blend, with no mess. I've also popped tea bags into these, to keep them from leaking tea leaves into the tub.The little drawstrings keep the bag perfectly closed while you're soaking and luxuriating, but you'll be able to open it again when you're done. It's easy to clean afterwards. I sterilize mine using 1 minute on medium in the microwave, after cleaning and rinsing it. Hang up to dry, good to go for next time. Love these. Just love them to pieces. Five stars.

Cloth used is thin and weak, but it's mostly good enough for tea bags--great price too!
The main draw to these bags is that they are cheap. For this reason, they make an excellent option for reusable loose leaf tea bags. That's exactly why I bought them. When the price for 50 of these is the same as what I pay for 5 at local stores, I figure it's tough to go wrong. And that's pretty much exactly where this product lands: good for the price, but not amazing.Compared to Regency brand muslin bags, the cloth used for these bags is quite thin. I believe the reason for this is that the thread used in the Regency muslin is a bit thicker than the thread used in these. In general, this is kind of nice because these thinner bags are easier to flip inside out and don't get too stiff after washing and drying them. But on a few of my bags (two out of the ten I've used so far), the weaker thread couldn't stand up to rinsing and wringing the bag out. The thread tore at the stitches in these two, and right in the trash they went.Despite the failure of those two bags, the other eight I've been using so far have been great. I lend them out to friends at the office for loose tea, and so far each bag has survived over a dozen uses. After brewing the tea, we simply rinse the bag under cold water to get it to a comfortable temperature, squeeze the water out of it, then take it over to the trash can and flip it inside out to get the tea out. The tea that's left stuck to the bag's walls then gets rinsed out and the bag wrung again to get excess water out. Using them in this way, I can keep on using these bags until they die on me.I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of the eight that have lasted as long as they have already, but even so, the quality is hit or miss for each individual bag. Just test your bags by getting them wet and wringing them dry before using them for a big job like spices in a soup or something if you absolutely don't want any solid bits getting into your food or drink. That hasn't happened with most of my bags, but it has with the two I mentioned. Something to keep in mind.

Size, You Decide Before You Buy
When I pullled these out I could see that, and from reading others reviews, these were on the small side of what is advertised. These are generally a quarter inch smaller than they say. Each dimension is smaller. However, I had read that on other reviews and decided that they would be right for the purposes I need them for.I removed the product from the shipping package and they were stacked and laid neatly in a pressed pile inside of a plastic bag. This was not retail packaging and there is no makers marks present. I did not locate a country of origin of manufacturing either.Moving the bags aside, I placed the first one one the counter, and got out the things I wanted to fill them with. I then noticed these were not bleached and a natural color, I was pleased with that as well. I filled the bags with one product, that is powdery, it didn't leak out all over the counter. Then I added some more things I wanted to test... Great they work for that too.Looking at the over all product, I would strongly suggest that you rinse the bag, let it dry, then use it for loose leaf tea and such. I found lots of manufacturing fibers all over them which told me they had not been washed before leaving the manufacturing place.I will disclose that I am a very honest and unbiased reviewer. Wish I had gotten 50!
I am using the bags in a Christmas Advent Calendar and I am hand painting the designs. It does bleed through so you MUST put something in the bag to protect the other side. The bags are ok but work fine for what I need them for (I don't need anything fancy). I only got 49 and I actually needed 50 so that bums me out! Now, I will need to order more to finish my second calendar (can the seller send me my missing one, please?)! I noticed that some are longer and some are wider but it looks ok. (PICTURE IS AFTER I PAINTED BAGS)**UPDATE** Seller resolved issue and sent me 5 more bags for my troubles. Thank you for good customer service!
