I use this everyday for coffee when I go to work. I typically do iced coffee and keeps coffee cold and the ice will NOT MELT. Trust me. I did a test and the ice stayed frozen in there for at least 32 hours. Great value and works well. Easy to open and stays sealed when things get hectic in the truck, backpack or car. Really nice color.

This is easily my favorite purchase of the year and the best travel mug I have ever had. It is very well-made and will keep liquids (coffee, in my case) quite hot for hours if you so desire. Personally, I am a fan of the plastic liner (BPA free) in the cup as I don't care for the taste of metal when drinking. Being made of steel, the mug itself does not retain odors and is easy to keep clean.

I work 13+ hours shifts on the ambulance and this the Stanley Food Jar comes with me everyday. There's never a guarantee that we'll have a moment between calls at the hospital to eat and I've found that using the Stanley enlou of using a regular lunch bunch is way better for my life style. I don't only use it for food. I regularly use it for keeping my water ice cold on hot days at work to stay hydrated. This is easily the best, most cost efficient purchase I've made regarding hydration/food storage for my line of work on the ambulance at a very busy service. If you're thinking of getting one, just do it. You won't regret it.(When I'm using my Stanley for hydration I keep the bowl/cap off for easy access to the air tight lid)

I wanted some form of container that could allow me to eat hot soup at work- twice. The ideal would be one meal about 4 hours in and another 4-5 hours later (8-9 hours after initially filling the container). I tried five different food jars and none of them made it to the 4 hour mark.Then I heard about the Stanley company. They've been around for over 100 years and have a stellar reputation among outdoorsy types. My needs only required surviving the car trip to the office and then sitting in a drawer, so I can't speak to their claims of being super tough and durable, but as far as temperature control, they're aces.This food jar barely loses any heat by the 4 hour mark, and manages to deliver pleasantly warm (not hot) soup after 8 hours, even though at that point it's only half full. I pushed it even further by not preheating it with boiling water before adding the soup and it still came through like a champion.I have used this for miso soup (very thin broth), French onion soup (thick broth), Irish potato leek soup (thick, chowder-like), and a split pea (so thick it's nearly solid). All stayed warm. So have beef pho (lots of large pieces of vegetables), chicken and sausage gumbo (with rice), and udon noodles. I got crazy one day and filled it with couscous right off the stove. It was a bit challenging getting the last of it out 9 hours later, but it was still pretty warm.The container is also very easy to clean. It's a bit heavier than the other thermoses I tried, but not so much so that it's uncomfortable (I'm a not especially strong woman of a certain age).The one and only drawback is that the thermos has sort of a Ralph Kramdon-type vibe to it. It is industrial and practical looking rather than cute, shiny, and pretty like some of the other options. But the cute, shiny, and pretty thermoses had me eating room-temperature soup.I have not tested this food jar with anything cold, but I can say with confidence that it can keep hot things pleasantly hot for at least 9 hours. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought this for when I was working overnights at my job. I wanted something that would keep soup warm for a few hours. I was not disappointed as it would keep my soup pretty hot for a few hours. A few times I had to take the lid off and let it sit for a few min because my soup was still really hot. I really love having it and would buy it again if needed.
