The John Deere Maintenance Kit included everything we needed to maintain our tractor. It arrived quickly and it was a convenient way to get everything we needed all in one kit at an affordable cost.

I love this kit, it has everything you need to maintain your lawn tractor. These parts are all high quality and OEM meaning they are exactly what is designed for your motor. The kit doesn't come with instructions but you can watch a youtube video on it and once you learn it it's a piece of cake. The kit comes with the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, engine oil, and oil filter. You cannot purchase these separately cheaper, it's a good buy. I aim to do this kit once a year with my lawn tractor for keeping my engine running for a very long time.

Super easy to install, the whole process took less than an hour, admittedly I had the mower deck off, which doesn't speed things up but keeps the mess down. The oil drain does run over part of the frame, you just have to live with it, or use something to channel the oil. I used a piece I cut in an old oil can to create a "chute" to move the oil away from the frame. Spark plugs can be accessed without removing anything, and fuel and air filters are super easy.

Everything fit perfectly from this kit. However I want to warn you when replacing the fuel filter to use something like locking pliers to block both sides of the fuel line. I made a mistake where I let all the fuel drain from the carburetor. After I put in the new filter my tractor wouldn’t start. I had to crank it for so long and let the battery charge before it finally was able to pump enough fuel to start the engine.

Ordered this kit for my dads john deere lawn tractor and everything fit perfect. The only thing is the oil provided is 2 quarts which is slightly below the xxx marks when i refilled so i had to get another one. No big deal.

This was the first time for me to switch out the new design filter after owning a couple earlier John Deere mowers. I found that twisting the oil canister off took a lot of power. I found an old oil filter remover and had to use that to remove the first canister. Hopefully the next one will come off easier.
