Excellent product
I had planned on buying another high-end brand (Le Creuset), but balked at the price, which was about triple the price of this Balti dish. So I decided to give the Bruntmoor a go, and I'm very pleased with the product. Other than the interior finish, which seems a tad more coarse than the Le Creuset, there's really no other difference. This is a rock-solid substitute for the more expensive brand, and works just the same. It's listed as pre-seasoned because it's enameled, but I seasoned mine anyway, wiping it with Crisco and baking it for an hour, and then turning it upright on the stove and seasoning it the same way I'd season cast iron. As a result, it cleans very easily, and rarely needs more than to soak with some hot water and then scrub with a bristle brush to loosen anything that stuck. Like any enameled cast iron, it's important NOT to put cool liquids in them when they're hot, as the sudden temperature change between the coating and the steel can cause the enamel to loosen over time. Always let them cool down before cleaning, and you should be fine. Overall, I'm very, very pleased with this dish and feel like I saved myself about $100 by going with this brand. I make a lot of paella, gumbo and etoufee, and this is the perfect utensil for those types of dishes. Very pleased, and a 5 star rating.

The interior is significantly rougher than the black enamel used in Le Creuset or Staub.
I have a 3 quart Le Creuset Balti dish which I love. I purchased this one out of curiosity. It looks just like the Le Creuset, but significantly cheaper. I compared my new purchase with the Le Creuset I have had for several years. This dish weighs 5 pounds 11.2 ounces. The same dish made by Le Creuset weighs less at 5 pounds 4.7 ounces. The thickness of this pan is approximately 1/4 inch. The Le Creuset is 1/8 inch. The interior is significantly rougher than the black enamel used in other pans I have from Le Creuset or Staub. As others have mentioned, it has the feel of a non-enameled cast iron pan before seasoning. The handles are a bit different in size, but not a significant difference. The edge of the pan hasn’t been finished as well as Le Creuset or Staub - it is very rough and uneven in several places. Other than these issues, it appears to be nice pan. My Le Creuset pan is red (cerise). This pan is a darker red, but not so dark that it doesn’t look red. I have used my Balti dish for cooking (stir fries, curries, etc) and for serving at the table. This new one might need more oil to prevent sticking during cooking, but I believe it will be useful. Because it wasn’t finished very well, I gave it only 4 stars.

Looks good and Cooks good!
I will admit that I bought this because of the low price compared to the Name Brand....well, and the color too.I was more than happy with the fast shipping.....It arrived with no scratches and the color is bright and beautiful. It comes already seasoned, but I went ahead and did it again. The instructions to season it were very good and worked very well.I have used it to cook home made spaghetti sauce and there was no sticking when cooking the meat. The sauce cooked down very fast and ended up so thick the wooden spoon stood up....cleanup was a snap with just a sponge and hot water. I did dry it and added just a touch of crisco to keep that non-stick finish going on...Love this pot...I just wish I had a lid that would fit well....

False advertising and bad quality
Where do I even start?First of all, before purchasing this product I emailed the company to ask about their warranty. I own several pieces of Cuisinart enameled cast iron and they have a lifetime warranty and wanted to compare the Bruntmor product before I made a purchase. I received a response from them saying they too offer a lifetime warranty on their products. Yet when I opened the box, the first thing I saw staring back at me was a piece of paper with big bold letters saying "1 year limited warranty". Needless to say there's more than just a slight discrepancy from what they told me.Second issue I have is the color. I ordered what I thought was a nice bright turquoise since that's what the photos and the description state. But in reality what I received is a dull denim blue. Nothing like the photos and not at all what i would call "turquoise".Third issue I have is the quality or lack of. I used this pot last night for the first time and washed it with dawn dish soap and a soft sponge. Normally with bare cast iron there are very specific ways to care for it and clean it to keep it seasoned and avoid rust. But with enameled cast iron that should not be the case. As I stated earlier I own other enameled cast iron and I use them daily without any issues. So I assumed this brand would be the same. In fact they even have printed on the box "no seasoning needed". But again this is false. As soon as I finished washing the pot and dried it to put it away, I noticed the finish became cloudy and spotted.Needless to say I am beyond disappointed, not only with the quality of the pot but the dishonesty in their advertising. The only reason I gave this product two stars instead of one is because at least it was inexpensive. But I guess in this case the phrase "you get what you pay for" is pretty accurate. I emailed the company with these complaints so we'll see if and how they respond. I will update this review if need be once I hear from them.EDIT: the company emailed me back promptly and apologized for my being unhappy. They offered to send me a replacement in a different color. I've added one star to their rating because of their prompt reply and willingness to compensate me. But they still never really had any explanation or solution to the lack of quality in the pan. So I appreciate them as a company but I'm still not a fan of their product.
