I keep this on hand especially when expecting a litter from a C-section! Helps sanitize any stitches that may appear to start getting infected. Helps to dry umbilical cords also. Just don't use too much. I use a Q-tip & put a dab on a puppy's umbilical cord, only if it looks like it was cut too long or getting red & irritated.

It is what it is. I'm not a scientist, but I guess it does what it's used for, which is an antiseptic. I needed some around the house. Simple as that. The price was comparatively good, so I bought it.
