I wanted to buy a simple microwave oven as I never seem to use all the additional features on the more expensive ones.After much searching, I decided on this Russell Hobbs one as it is a leading brand and its very attractive and modern looking with a large interior and is a high power 800w so it heats up food quickly. It just had two knobs - one for the temperature and one for an the time ...I use the defrost setting and full power most of the time and simply turn the bottom knob for the amount of time needed.I particularly like the inside having a lovely grey colour which I think will not get rusty. It's nice and large and is big enough to fit my 9 3/4" plates... I don't think much bigger than that would fit . It does get a bit steamy so I always wipe it down after use with kitchen roll to dry it. It's really easy to wipe down to keep it clean.There are a couple of downsides which I found which are that the door is quite stiff to open and it is a little but noisy...I can live with that! All in all, I am very pleased with this lovely looking and easy to use microwave which is good value for money.

We haven't had a microwave for years - and after browsing for days we chose this one because:1) It looks very good2) Functionality - simple, time and power based with just two dials - no little touch-sensitive buttons to mess with3) Easy to clean4) Good make5) Good valueIt does everything you need from a microwave. We don't cook ready meals, but being able to defrost things quickly can be useful. It's good for heating up left-overs. It's good for heating up a wheat-bag too!Overall, this is a faultless product which suits our modern kitchen - it looks great and is easy to operate.

I decided to buy a simple manual microwave oven this time. It looks good, is easy to use. I don’t miss any of the fancy buttons- heating coffee eg. I do miss the ability to set for 10 seconds though when warming scones or defrosting. I am happy with my purchase.

Love this simple microwave. The ding is a bit shrill, but two knobs, how much simpler can it be. Works great, even heating.

It looks good. It is good and like I said it gets things hot and that’s very good.

My 800W manual Russell Hobbs microwave has made my life a lot easer, as I was having problems with my digital microwave due to my disability & my previous microwaves high sensitivity of the controls when being used, so I decided to o back to a manual microwave, & I'm glad I did.The controls are a breeze to use, the top knob is your Power Settings for the microwave, the bottom knob is your timer settings for how long you need & want to cook your food for, once you've got your meal ready put it in the microwave, then before closing the door set your power & cooking time!! because once the door is closed the cooking starts instantly, to stop any cooking just open the door!!, on finishing any cooking or warming a bell will sound.summing up I can fully recommend the Russell Hobbs 800W Microwave!!.

Very compact unit overall but does the job and, most importantly, has dial control knobs and a handle to open the door, the same as our previous De Longhi microwave. Very hard to find one with these features if they matter to you.On the downside, our only criticism would be the internal light which is very dim. Might as well not have one and just resort to opening the door every now and then.

Cheap and cheerful, look really good quality but not expensive which is more evident when used as door feels flimsy, plate wobbles a little, but perfect as a 2nd microwave.
