Works great - unless you have a Chromebook, lol.
Not knocking any stars, because I should have researched this better. I have a Chromebook for my work and needed something to scan documents, especially while on the go. This doesn't work with Chrome, unfortunately. I do have an old Windows-based Surface Pro that I can use with it, but it's a pain to go back and forth between laptops. As far as how it works, it does well. Scans quickly and cleanly, and everything is easy to organize.

Great portable scanner!
So far I have been liking this scanner! Software that comes with it is great, plus the scanner moves pretty fast. It's only one page at a time and does not do double sided, but the speed of the software and intake make up for this. Image quality is pretty great in color and in black and white documents.I had to make some minor changes to the default settings. For starters, the base resolution (200 DPI) is pretty low and makes smaller text harder to read, so I bumped it up to 300 and documents are looking much better now. You may also need to turn down the brightness for some documents, especially photos. The scanner has a very bright light, which is great for black and white documents but can cause issues for color documents.Overall really liking this product so far, and was just what I needed for my workflow! Saves the space of keeping my hunky printer / scanner around.

Easy but hard to get a straight scan
The product is great for it's price, portable with it's small profile and very easy to use with the scanning software. You just have the set the document, press the scan button and it'll automatically startup the software and begin scanning the document. Only thing I have to complain about is how depending on the paper material, or the angle you put it in, it's hard to get a straight scan aligned. They do have options to tilt and crop within the software so you can adjust it but I do wish the scan just came out straight.

Best bang for your buck - IT WORKS
I couldn't believe how easy it was to set this thing up. It worked the first time I tried using it. This thing is fast, too! Scan quality was adequate for my needs- It's a document scanner, not a photo scanner. For a hundred bucks and saving me a trip to Kinko's, this machine is well worth it! I used a Mac with a USB to USB C adapter. Spending $13 on two adapters instead of $150 for the USB-C scanner made more sense to me. Doesn't take up a ton of space which is a very nice perk. I highly recommend buying this scanner.

Easy to Use
This is so easy to set up and use! It's quick and the software is user-friendly. The size of the actual device is perfect for carrying it on the go. I haven't had any issue with the scan quality, and I've scanned multiple kinds of documents, including children's artwork.

WORKS AS ADVERTISED
Out of the box: no surprises. Worked as advertised.Cash register receipts (thin, clay-coated paper): As you might expect, it has some difficulty passing thin paper register receipts through while keeping them aligned. I needed to urge the paper into the scanner to get it started. I also helped it keep them going through straight. But they do scan, and you can change the resolution if you wish. Overall it wasn't bad, and it DOES work.Full-size 8 1/5x11 sheets: It can be difficult to get them to stay straight, but I think the software helps with alignment correction. The scans were satisfactory. I found it much easier and better to lay the scanner on its back with inlet-side facing upward, then pick it up the instant it starts scanning. The weight of the paper keeps it straight upon entry.I appreciate the software's ability to create multi-page files without each sheet having to be saved as its own file. One thing I do not like is the USB interface. The scanner uses the micro usb interface, which is even worse than Apple's lightning interface. Already I have scratched the dickens out of the socket end of the scanner. I hope the next generation of this scanner uses USB-C.All things considered, it was about what I expected in a $99 scanner. It's not the Cadillac of sheet scanners; more like the Chevy Chevette. It's a basic sheet scanner. Portable, powered through the USB connection, motorized, software isn't bad for the money.I got it to see how badly I needed a sheet scanner, and I decided it's worth having around. I'd like to see future versions of this with a different interface, and maybe a more reliable paper guide to keep the sheets aligned. Perhaps I'll spend more money the next time.
